Freeridge cast: Who stars in the On My Block spinoff?

On My Block was a hit Netflix show that introduced millions to a beloved group of characters. The spinoff series Freeridge promises to do the same with a new crew and a few returning faces. Get ready to return to the Freeridge neighborhood and get to know the newcomers who star in this compelling teen dramedy!

Freeridge is about a group of four teenagers who must reverse a curse after a mysterious old box seems to bring them nothing but misfortune, upending their lives and relationships. Consisting of eight episodes in its first season, Freeridge is set to premiere on Feb. 2, 2023.

All four seasons of On My Block are also still available for those who want a refresher on what happened in the previous series, but you don’t need to have watched On My Block to enjoy Freeridge.

Best known for her roles in Curb Your Enthusiasm and Abbott Elementary, Keyla Monterroso Mejia landed one of her first significant leading roles in the On My Block spinoff series Freeridge. Mejia plays Gloria, sister to Ines. She previously appeared in the series finale of On My Block. Mejia was born in 1998, making her 25. Follow her on Instagram @keylamonterrosomejia.

Gloria’s sister Ines is portrayed by 25-year-old Bryana Salaz, who you might recognize from The Voice, where she competed on Gwen Stefani’s team in season 7. Salaz also previously starred on the Netflix sitcom Team Kaylie.

Another member of the show’s core four is Ciara Riley Wilson, 21, who plays Demi, an up-and-coming former Disney star whose previous credits include Bizaardvark, Speechless, Kim Possible (the newer live-action film), and LA’s Finest.

Tenzing Trainor rounds out the quartet as Cameron. Trainor, also 21, starred as Parker Rooney on the Disney Channel series Liv & Maddie and voiced the character Jin in the animated feature Abominable. He and Mejia previously appeared in episodes of the Netflix series Boo, Bitch.
