Viking: Valhalla season 2 was only released on January 12, 2023, but fans of the historical drama are already looking toward the future.

Set more than 100 years after the events of the smash-hit History Channel drama, Vikings, the Netflix series focuses on the adventures and tribulations of famous Vikings Leif Eriksson (Sam Corlette), Freydis Eriksdottir (Frida Gustavsson), and Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter).

If you’ve tuned in to the latest battles and betrayals you’ll likely be itching for more drama, luckily Vikings: Valhalla season 3 has already been greenlit, with the streaming giant confirming it has also filmed the new episodes. Vikings: Valhalla season 3: When could the new episodes arrive?

Currently, the streaming giant has not shared an official release date for Vikings: Valhalla season 3. However, we may be able to offer you a prediction as to when we could potentially see the new episodes on Netflix.

Season 1 of the Vikings sequel series arrived on Netflix in February 2022, with the second season following 11 months later on January 12, 2023. Given that season 3 has already been confirmed to have been filmed by the cast and crew, we expect at the earliest to see the new episodes in December 2023, or early 2024.

Frida Gustavsson, who plays Freydis, recently confirmed the news in an interview with E! News.

“We’ve already shot [season 3] and it’s incredible,” she said. “It’s so good. And I just can’t wait for the world to see it. But you’re gonna have to wait a little bit longer!”
