Get ready anime fans because Demon Slayer season 2 arrives on Netflix U.S. on Saturday, Jan. 21! It’s been a long time coming, but the wait is nearly over. If you’re looking forward to watching the second season on Netflix, we must share with you the parents guide and age rating.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a top-rated anime series based on one of the best-selling Japanese mangas of all time by Koyoharu Gotouge. There have been two seasons released so far, but only the first season is available to stream on Netflix as of Jan. 19. A third season covering the “Swordsmith Village” arc is slated to come out in April 2023. But it’s unknown when that season will come to Netflix.

The story follows Tanjiro Kamado, a teen boy who sets out to become a demon slayer and find a cure after his entire family is killed and his sister, Nezuko, is transformed into a demon. After joining the Demon Slayer Corps, Tanjiro teams up with other members to face off against various demons while on his quest to turn Nezuko human again.

Demon Slayer season 2 consists of 18 episodes and covers the “Mugen Train” and the “Entertainment District” arcs. It picks up where the first season left off, with Tanjiro still in an ongoing battle with the Demon King. The main characters will also make their way to Yoshiwara’s red light district to help the Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui search for his missing wives.

Correction 01/21/23: It was believed that Netflix would release the complete second season, but only the “Mugen Train” arc was released on Jan. 21. The streaming giant will likely receive the remaining episodes at a later date.

Demon Slayer season 2 parents guide and age rating

Demon Slayer season 2 is rated TV-14, meaning it may not be suitable for ages under 14. It was given this maturity rating for fear, gore, strong language, self-harm, and graphic fantasy violence. Given what this anime is about, this age rating seems appropriate.

There will be tons of frightening and intense scenes that many parents would deem inappropriate for a younger audience to be watching. You can also expect to see some of the characters drinking and smoking. Also, many of the demons will probably be considered scary to younger kids. Overall, parents are strongly cautioned. However, we believe kids ages 14 and up will be okay watching this show. We just don’t recommend letting younger kids watch it.

Demon Slayer season 2 lands on Netflix on Jan. 21 at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET. Will you be watching the second season?
