Are Eric and Donna still together in That ’90s Show?

Set 15 years after the finale of That ’70s Show, That ’90s Show introduces us to the new generation in Point Place, and we also get the return of some of our favorite OG characters. Red (Kurtwood Smith) and Kitty (Debra Jo Rupp) are back as main characters in the new Netflix spinoff, with Eric (Topher Grace), Donna (Laura Prepon), Kelso (Ashton Kutcher), Jackie (Mila Kunis), Fez (Wilmer Valderrama), Bob (Don Stark), and Leo (Tommy Chong) coming back as recurring. Though the new show is a little bit cheesy, it’s still so much fun to see the beloved characters back on our screen.

That ’90s Show follows Eric and Donna’s daughter Leia (Callie Haverda), who goes to visit her grandparents in Point Place for the Fourth of July, only to stay for the whole summer after befriending the neighborhood kids. It doesn’t take long for Leia to fall for Jay (Mace Coronel), who happens to be the son of Kelso and Jackie! If you’re a fan of the original series, it’s worth checking out the new Netflix release.

Are Eric and Donna married in That ’90s Show?

Although Eric only appears in one episode (the premiere!), he and Donna are definitely still happily married. Donna appears in three episodes, coming to Point Place to check on Leia in a later episode when Kitty warns her that her daughter might be having sex. This turns out not to be true. She then appears in the finale to pick up Leia. We wish Donna and Eric were a bigger part of the spinoff, but at least they’re in it at all!

As fans of the original show will remember, Eric and Donna end up together by the end of That ’70s Show, but their relationship certainly has many ups and downs. Topher Grace left the sitcom after the seventh season, with the show writing in that whole storyline of Eric moving to Africa. But the actor returned for the series finale, with Eric coming back to Donna on New Year’s Eve and explaining the regrets he has about ending their relationship.

Eric and Donna getting back together at the end of That ’70s Show was a little bit of fan service, sure, because hey, it’s a sitcom!
