The Devil to Pay is a thriller movie written and helmed by husband and wife creative team Ruckus and Lane Skye. It was released in select theaters and on streaming in October 2020. Now, Netflix subscribers can finally set their eyes on the film.

The movie follows a struggling farmer named Lemon Cassidy, who lives on a small farm in the Appalachian wilderness with her husband and son. But one day, Lemon’s husband goes missing leaving her with a debt that she must pay to the most powerful and ruthless family in the mountains. And if she doesn’t pay off the debt, it will cost her and her son’s life.

Danielle Deadwyler leads the cast as Lemon Cassidy. You might recognize Deadwyler for her roles in the TV shows The Haves and the Have Nots, Greenleaf, Watchmen, Atlanta, Being Mary Jane, Paradise Lost, P-Valley, Station Eleven and From Scratch. She also played the role of Cuffee in Netflix’s The Harder They Fall and Mamie Till in the drama film Till.

Catherine Dyer portrays the role of Tommy Runion, the main antagonist in the film. She’s best known for her roles in Halloween II, The Blind Side, Sabotage, Dirty Grandpa, Stranger Things, The Resident, The Haves and the Have Nots, The Morning Show and The Terminal List.
