Hindi-language Netflix Original Trial by Fire is now streaming on the platform. And this is one show based on a true story that you definitely want to add to your watch list.

The series tells the story of Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy, the parents of two kids who lost their lives in a fire at the Uphaar Cinema in South Delhi in 1997. The husband and wife face challenges in their quest to find justice over two decades later, per the synopsis.

The show is based on the book by the real-life parents, Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy, called Trial by Fire: The Tragic Tale of the Uphaar Fire Tragedy. Fifty-nine people died in the fire, including their children, and 100 people were injured. An investigation into the fire revealed there were several fire code violations.
