Despite becoming one of Netflix’s most controversial shows of the year, Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story received several noms at the 2023 Golden Globes, including star Evan Peters’ first-ever Golden Globes nomination.

Peters was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor, Limited Series, Anthology Series or Motion Picture made for Television for his portrayal of the serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in the Ryan Murphy/Netflix collab.

His co-star, Niecy Nash-Betts, was also nominated for playing Dahmer’s neighbor Glenda Cleveland and Richard Jenkins received a nod for his portrayal of the serial killer’s father, Lionel. Additionally, the show was nominated for Best Limited Series, Anthology Series or a Motion Picture made for Television.

Since its debut on Netflix, Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story has garnered over 1 billion hours. Only shows like Wednesday and Stranger Things have outperformed it, so it’s no surprise that Netflix renewed it for two additional seasons, spawning a new Ryan Murphy anthology.
