Does Austin die in Ginny and Georgia season 2?

Ginny and Georgia season 2 premiered on Jan. 5, and it’s already sitting at the No. 1 spot on Netflix’s top 10 TV shows list on Jan. 9! We strongly recommend watching the second season if you haven’t already. It’s really good!

Many shocking events happened this season, but three events in particular had our jaws dropped. One of those events involved Austin Miller, played by Diesel La Torraca.

Spoilers ahead for Ginny and Georgia season 2!

At the start of Ginny and Georgia season 2, Austin is with Ginny at Zion’s house. However, Ginny and Austin eventually have to return to Wellsbury to be with their mom. Once Austin returns to school, he becomes friends with his former bully, Zach. Then, his biological dad/convicted felon, Gil, arrives in Wellsbury and tries to build a relationship with him. However, that’s not Gil’s only reason for being in town. He wants his life back after spending time in prison, and he believes that blackmailing Georgia is what he has to do to get what he wants.

Through flashbacks, we learn that Gil was abusive towards Georgia in the past. When he meets Georgia in the present time, he claims he’s a changed man, but Georgia doesn’t believe him. Well, Georgia ends up being right because later in the season, Gil and Georgia get into a physical altercation that ends with someone getting shot. Was it Austin? Does he end up getting shot and dying? Find out right below!

Fortunately, Austin does not die in Ginny and Georgia season 2. He doesn’t get shot, either. Actually, he’s the person who pulls the trigger on Georgia’s gun and shoots someone. The person he ends up shooting is Gil.

After hearing a loud commotion from the kitchen, Ginny and Austin race downstairs to see what’s happening. When they enter the kitchen, they find Georgia on the ground and Gil staring angrily at her from afar. Without any hesitation, Austin aims the gun in his hand at Gil and shoots him in the arm.

Does Gil die in Ginny and Georgia season 2?

No, Gil does not die in the second season. Georgia decides not to call the police about the incident because she knows Austin will likely be sent to juvie. So, she tells Ginny and Austin to clean up the mess that was made while she patches up Gil’s wound. After Georgia’s done helping Gil, he goes home. We see Gil later in the final episode of the season.
