The Ginny & George season 2 finale ends on a shocking cliffhanger, so we definitely need a third season to see how the story continues.

We’re about to get into some spoilers from Ginny & Georgia season 2. More specifically, the season 2 finale. If you haven’t made it to the end of the season, you might want to exit this article. But maybe you don’t mind being spoiled. If that’s the case, go ahead and continue reading.

Now, let’s talk about how the second season ends and how it sets up for a potential third season.

SPOILER WARNING: Major spoilers from Ginny & Georgia season 2 below.

Ginny & Georgia season 2 ending: Do Georgia and Paul get married?

Yes, Georgia (Brianne Howey) and Paul get married in the season finale. However, I thought they weren’t going to get married at one point. Throughout the second season, Paul tries his hardest to get to know Georgia on a deeper level and blend their families since they’re engaged to be married soon. But Georgia is initially scared to let Paul in because she knows that once she tells him about her criminal past, he’ll call off the wedding and want nothing to do with her. She also fears that her life will be completely upended if she tells him about her past full of dark secrets. Georgia has worked so hard to give her kids a better life, and she refuses to let anything or anyone ruin that.

So, she continues on in their relationship, hoping that Paul will eventually let it go. Everything was going well for the engaged couple until Gil (Aaron Ashmore) shows up at Georgia’s house and abuses her. Ginny and Austin run into the kitchen to find Georgia on the floor. Austin (Diesel La Torraca) then shoots Gil in the arm.

After everything calms down, Georgia realizes that she can’t marry Paul because she believes she’ll only bring him down. So she secretly calls off the wedding by canceling the venue. She even decides that she’ll take Ginny and Austin and run away to Lake Powell. This is something she used to do in the past when things got hard. She becomes more adamant about leaving when she finds out that Ginny told Marcus about her murdering her ex-husband.

However, Ginny (Antonia Gentry) is able to convince Georgia to stay and tell Paul about her past. Obviously, when sharing her criminal background with Paul, Georgia leaves out the murders. Once she lets everything out, she waits for Paul’s reaction, but he tells her he has to go. The next morning, Paul texts Georgia telling her to meet him at his office. Georgia is nervous that Paul might have her arrested but still visits him.

Georgia arrives at the office, and Gil comes moments later. Paul tells Gil that he knows about everything. He also tells him to stay away from Georgia and Austin, or there will be severe consequences. After Gil leaves, Paul tells Georgia that he can’t see spending the rest of his life without her, even if she does have a criminal past. They kiss, and then the wedding is back on.

Since Georgia canceled the first wedding venue, Ginny finds a new one for her. In the end, the wedding takes place at Wellsbury Town Hall. Georgia and Paul say their vows, share their first kiss as a married couple, and even get to have their first dance. But then the police and private investigator Gabriel Cordova barge through the doors and…

Does Georgia get arrested in Ginny & Georgia season 2?

Yes, Georgia gets arrested for the murder of Tom Fuller. When PI Cordova and the authorities showed up at Town Hall, I initially thought they were going to arrest Georgia for the murder of one of her ex-husbands. But then I remembered that they don’t have any concrete evidence linking her to the murders of Kenny and Anthony Greene.

The authorities were able to take Georgia in for the murder of Tom Fuller since she was the only person with him when he died. That seemed suspicious. Technically, Austin was also there, but no one knows that besides viewers. As viewers, we also know that Georgia murdered Tom. She killed Tom by smothering him with a pillow while Austin secretly watched her commit the heinous crime from the cabinet. But the police, PI Cordova, and everyone else don’t know that. They only have their suspicions.

Honestly, I had an inkling that Georgia would eventually get caught because she didn’t even try to cover her tracks. After she killed Tom, she just dropped the pillow on his bed and called out for Cynthia. I guess she thought no one would question his death since he was already on his deathbed. Still, with PI Cordova constantly harassing her and trying to find something to pin her down, I would’ve thought Georgia would be smarter than that.

We really need that third season to see what happens to Georgia. Will there be enough evidence to charge her with the murder of Tom Fuller? Will she serve jail time? We need to know!

Do Ginny and Marcus end up together in Ginny & Georgia season 2?

Sadly, Ginny and Marcus do not end up together at the end of the season. However, we do get to see them finally become a couple in episode 4 before Marcus breaks things off with Ginny in episode 8. Marcus decides to break up with Ginny because he doesn’t want to continue to hurt her. This season we find out that Marcus suffers from depression, which can sometimes get really bad. He doesn’t want to hold Ginny back and make things harder for her, so he believes letting her go is the best choice, no matter how much it hurts. Although Ginny and Marcus do not end up together, they do eventually make up and choose to become friends.

Do Max and Sophie get back together in Ginny & Georgia season 2?

No, Max and Sophie do not get back together. Max spends most of the season pining over her ex Sophie, while Sophie seems to have moved on. Sophie even gets a new boyfriend. But Max isn’t over Sophie and wants her back. At the winter carnival, Max slyly switches places with Silver at the kissing booth when she notices Sophie is next in line. But her plan backfires once she enters the booth with Sophie. Sophie explains to Max that they’re over and makes it clear that there’s no chance of them getting back together. Sophie’s words hurt Max to the core, but she knows that she has to leave her be. Max even starts to take an interest in someone else.

But in episode 8, Max is brought back into Sophie’s orbit when Sophie asks her if she wants to get coffee sometime. Max does end up meeting with Sophie for coffee at the Blue Farm Cafe, where they talk about how they’ve been since their breakup. After Sophie mentions how she and her new boyfriend broke up, Max asks her why she wanted to meet. Sophie tells Max that she misses her and would like to be friends. But Max replies by saying that she’s not ready to be friends just yet because it’s still too soon. Then, in true Max fashion, she compliments Sophie and walks away.

Do Max and Silver get together in Ginny & Georgia season 2?

Technically, Max and Silver do not get together. However, they do flirt throughout the season and even share a kiss. When we’re first introduced to Silver, it’s obvious that she has a crush on Max, but Max is too wrapped up in Sophie at the time to notice. However, there were moments when it looked like Max was starting to develop a crush on Silver. She just couldn’t be fully in because of her feelings for Sophie. Now that Sophie looks to be out of the picture for good, Max will probably try to start a relationship with Silver in a potential third season.

What happens to Gil in the Ginny & Georgia season 2 finale?

After Gil is released from prison, he travels to Wellsbury to find Georgia. Gil wants his old life back after spending so much time in prison. He claims he wants to spend time with his son, but he’s really back in Georgia’s life because he wants money. He knows Paul comes from old money, so he decides to blackmail Georgia to get what he wants. Gil tells Georgia that if she goes through with her wedding to Paul as planned, he won’t say anything to Paul about who she really is. Once Georgia marries Paul, she’s expected to give Gil money.

However, Gil’s plan backfires because Georgia ends up sharing most of her past with Paul, including her abusive relationship with Gil. Later, Paul threatens Gil and tells him he’ll call his parole officer if he continues to harass Georgia. He even tells him that the only way he’ll be able to see Austin is if it’s through him. Of course, Gil doesn’t like what he hears and says he’ll go to court to fight for custody. But Paul assures him that he has a good lawyer, so he’ll most likely lose the case. Gil is then escorted away by police officers. That’s the last time we see him in the second season. However, if there is to be a third season, I’m sure he’ll return.

Ginny & Georgia season 3: What could happen in a potential third season?

First, we need to find out what will happen to Georgia now that she’s been arrested. If the cops find enough evidence to charge Georgia with the murder of Tom Fuller, she could be spending a long time in jail. This would obviously affect Ginny and Austin, so that’s not great. Remember, Ginny has been working on her mental health by attending therapy. This would most likely set her back. Also, Austin witnessed Georgia kill Tom, so he might need to attend therapy along with Ginny.

How will Georgia’s arrest affect Paul and Zion? Georgia had just opened up to Paul about her criminal past, and now she’s been arrested for murder. Will they be able to work through this huge hurdle in their relationship, or will Paul call it quits? Her arrest will also affect Zion. Zion has always been there for Georgia, but this might be too much for him. The townspeople will also gossip about Georgia’s arrest, making it harder for Ginny and Austin. Lastly, we want to know what will happen between Ginny and Marcus. Will they get back together, or are they really better off as friends? There’s so much that could happen in a third season. Netflix just needs to renew the teen series.
