It’s finally 2023, and while that means lots of people will be making resolutions, if you’re trying to chill out the week of New Year’s, Netflix is adding a lot of new movies and shows for you to watch. This includes a new heist series, a new season of a Netflix original series, and a new mystery movie.

The first big series coming to Netflix this week is Kaleidoscope. The series spans 24 years and tells the story of one of the biggest heists of all time. It’s loosely based on the story of 70 million dollars in bonds going missing in Manhattan during Hurricane Sandy in 2012.

The series stars Giancarlo Esposito, Paz Vega, Rosaline Elbay, Tati Gabrielle, Niousha Noor, Peter Mark Campbell, and Rufus Sewell. It hits Netflix on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023.

Ginny & Georgia is also back for season 2 on Thursday, Jan. 5.  The mother-daughter comedy will pick up only a few weeks after the shocking finale of season 1. The two are not exactly speaking to each other. And considering what Ginny found out about her mom, that’s not that surprising.

But what will Georgia’s reaction be once she finds out her kids are missing? And why they are missing? And what will bring these two back together? We’ll all have to watch and find out.

More in the mood for some mystery? The Pale Blue Eye is headed to Netflix on Friday, Jan. 6. The movie stars Christian Bale, Harry Melling, Gillian Anderson, Robert Duvall, Toby Jones, Charlotte Gainsbourg, and Timothy Spall.

The film is based on the novel of the same name by Louis Bayard and follows a detective looking into the murder of a West Point cadet. But when his investigation doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, he enlists the help of one of the cadets. A man by the name of Edgar Allan Poe. You might have heard of him.
