When is New Amsterdam coming to Netflix? (release time and more)

Since its premiere on NBC in September 2018, New Amsterdam has been one of the biggest fan-favorite medical dramas on television. The series stars 90210 and The Blacklist alum Ryan Eggold as Max Goodwin, a dedicated New York City doctor looking to reform the titular hospital.

As the medical director of one of the oldest public hospitals in the country, Dr. Goodwin has quite the uphill battle to cut through all of the red tape and help give the greatest care possible to New Amsterdam Hospital’s hundreds of patients.

From its premiere, the series has been a reliable and steady ratings performer for NBC, which granted the series a three-season renewal in 2020 for its third, fourth, and fifth seasons. Ultimately, the 13-episode fifth season will be its last, with the series finale airing on Jan. 17, 2023.

New Amsterdam also features an excellent ensemble cast that includes Freema Agyeman, Janet Montgomery, Jocko Sims, Tyler Labine, Anupam Kher, and Sandra Mae Frank. When can Netflix binge-watchers finally get their hands on the series?

How many seasons of New Amsterdam are on Netflix?

As of Jan. 1, 2023, only two seasons of New Amsterdam are available to stream on Netflix. The fifth season is currently available to watch on NBC’s website, while every season also calls Peacock home.

It’s unclear whether more seasons of the medical drama will be added to Netflix in the future. Besides The Blacklist, there isn’t a precedent for NBC shows streaming on Netflix. A few Chicago Med seasons were added, and the ultimately removed, in 2021.
