Will Emily in Paris season 4 be the last season of the Netflix series?

Now that Emily in Paris season 3 has finally dropped on Netflix, everyone’s wondering about the upcoming fourth season. People are wanting to know if Emily in Paris season 4 will be the final season of the romantic comedy series. Will the fourth season be the last time we see Emily juggle her career and love life or strut down the streets of Paris with her best friend Mindy? We hope not! Here’s everything we know about the show’s future at Netflix.

I’m pretty sure some people didn’t think Emily in Paris would make it this far, especially not four seasons. Remember when the show premiered, and there were a bunch of naysayers angry that it was nominated for two Emmys? And that’s not all. The new show (at the time) had also landed two Golden Globe nominations. Emily in Paris was simply THAT show and is still one of Netflix’s best series currently streaming, in my opinion.

After a successful second season, Netflix quickly renewed the show for two additional installments in January 2022. The streamer doesn’t typically hand out double renewals, so this was good news for the series. But now that the third season has come and gone, many of us can’t help but think about what will happen with the series after Emily in Paris season 4 comes out. Will Netflix greenlight a fifth season? I’m sure this has been weighing on many fans’ minds. So, we wanted to share our thoughts on the matter.

Will Emily in Paris season 4 be the final season?

It’s unknown at the moment. As of Dec. 21, Netflix hasn’t announced if the upcoming fourth season will be the final season. So, this is good news. The streamer usually announces a show’s final season when they renew it. Netflix didn’t mention anything about the fourth season being the last season when they renewed the series back in January.

However, we have seen the streaming giant switch things up recently. For example, Locke and Key was renewed for a third season in 2020, and then in 2022, Netflix announced it would be the final season. We also saw this with Firefly Lane. Firefly Lane was renewed for a second season in May 2021, but in October 2022, Netflix announced that the second season would be its last season.

We’re keeping our fingers crossed that this doesn’t happen with Emily in Paris, but we know there’s a possibility. Netflix shows usually run for four seasons before the streamer pulls the plug. Also, the third season ended in a way where a fourth season could wrap up the story. I mean, Emily could always face more problems in her career and love life, but we’ve seen that happen for multiple seasons already. We would hate for Emily in Paris to end on a bad note because it went on for longer than it should.

Still, we hope for at least one more season after Emily in Paris season 4 drops. But we’ll have to wait and see what Netflix decides.
