Emily in Paris season 3 and season 4 coming in haute with two-season renewal

Get used to Emily in Paris, folks! Netflix is staying put in Paris with not one but TWO more seasons of the Emmy-nominated romantic comedy series. Emily in Paris season 3 and Emily in Paris season 4 are officially on the way.

The series from creator Darren Star first premiered on Netflix in 2020 and quickly became a guilty pleasure hit. Last December, Emily in Paris season 2 dropped and continued Emily’s streak of success, as it remains in the overall top 10 ranking.

Considering the success of the series, it’s a no brainer for Netflix to remain in the business of Emily in Paris, but the rare double renewal might not have been on many bingo cards. We have seen that show a faith for a few Netflix originals, and it’s a great vote of confidence.

As for when we’ll be seeing Emily in Paris season 3 and Emily in Paris season 4 as well as what to expect in the upcoming new seasons, we’re sharing everything we know so far about the exciting renewal below.

Emily in Paris renewed for season 3 and season 4

In Jan. 10, less than one month after the release of season 2, Netflix announced the renewal of Emily in Paris season 3 and season 4.

According to Deadline, the second season of Emily in Paris boasted first-week numbers of 107.6 million hours watched, which comes in behind The Witcher season 2 with 168 million hours watched in the same week.

Of course, Netflix didn’t elaborate on the future of Emily in Paris beyond these two seasons, but it’s safe to assume this isn’t the end of the road for Emily Cooper.

Emily in Paris season 3 release date updates

Because Netflix has only just announced Emily in Paris season 3, there’s no official release date set. However, the streamer has been able to release each season of the romantic comedy series within about year, so we shouldn’t see much deviation from that timeframe.

Since Netflix announced the pickup so early, that ensures that writing and production can get underway sooner rather than later. Our best guess is filming could resume sometime in spring 2022 for another fall or winter release.

As for Emily in Paris season 4, it’s unclear whether the fourth season will be filmed back-to-back with season 3. If that’s the case, we could expect to see season 4 sometime earlier in 2023. But if not, look out once again for more Emily in fall 2023.
