From the moment Netflix announced the cancellation of Warrior Nunfans of the YA fantasy action series have begun rallying behind the beloved show in hopes of helping it live to fight another day.

Although the fans’ fight has only just begun, it’s already turning heads and garnering support from those connected to the show. It also seems the fans’ Save My Show campaign has caught the attention of an actress who is more than familiar with the power of fan campaign efforts.

Lesley-Ann Brandt, who starred as Maze across all six seasons of Luciferhas taken notice of the fans’ efforts to save Warrior Nun and stepped in to help spread the word and support. “Lucifer 2.0. Massive international fan base with so much story left to tell. Hoping it works out for everyone involved,” Brandt tweeted in response to a tweet from the Warrior Nun showrunner’s thanks to the fans’ support.

Of course, Lucifer managed to evade cancellation twice with Netflix saving the show after FOX canceled it after three seasons and then ordering a sixth season after what was intended to be its final season. So Brandt’s dubbing of Warrior Nun as Lucifer 2.0 is a clear reference to her desire to see the show beat the odds as Lucifer did in order to get a second lease on life.

The support shown by Brandt sent fans into a frenzy with fans quickly jumping in to thank her for the love given to the show.

“Thank you so much for sharing and supporting this cause. We did it for Lucifer and now we’ll do it again,” commented one passionate fan. “We love you, Lesley. Thanks for your support #SaveWarriorNun we will win this war,” echoed another.

Could Netflix reverse its decision to cancel Warrior Nun?

While it’s not common for Netflix to reverse its own cancellation orders, it has happened in the past most notably when the streamer decided to bring Lucifer back for a bonus season. After renewing the show for a fifth and final season, Netflix decided to reverse its decision by bringing Lucifer back for a sixth season.

A key in convincing Netflix to do so was the support shown by the fans, so if Warrior Nun fans have any hope it will be to keep making waves with social pushes and by re-watching the show. If history has taught us anything it’s that Netflix does pay attention to fan campaigns — Manifest being another prime example — so it never hurts to continue fighting and being vocal with support for a show.
