Are you ready to feel the rain on your skin? After Netflix added to the classic MTV reality series Laguna Beach in November, the streamer will now unleash the wildly more popular spinoff series The Hills for our nostalgia binge-watching pleasure.

Much like the sire series, Netflix will only be adding the first two seasons of The Hills at this time. Of course, that means we’ll be missing a ton of iconic moments, such as Lauren’s single mascara tear from season 4 and Kristin Cavallari‘s shocking return in season 5.

But that’s just something to look forward to should the streamer add more seasons of the series. For now, we’ll be seeing Lauren Conrad’s humble beginnings in Los Angeles and the start of her falling out with former best friend Heidi Montag. What time does The Hills fun get started on Netflix?

The Hills release date and time on Netflix

Netflix will release The Hills seasons 1 and 2 on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 12 a.m. PT, which is 3 a.m. ET. That’s a little late for East Coasters to stay up for some nostalgic reality television, but night owl West Coasters can sneak in a few episodes of season 1 before morning.

How many seasons of The Hills are on Netflix?

As previously mentioned, Netflix will only be adding two of the six total seasons of the MTV reality series. If you want the whole dramatic saga after binge-watching seasons 1 and 2 on Netflix, the complete series remains available to stream on Hulu, Paramount+, and MTV.com.

It’s unclear why Netflix only licensed two seasons of The Hills, and it’s also unclear if or when the streamer could add more seasons. Based on the tepid performance of Laguna Beach, which didn’t hit the top 10 upon release, the spinoff might not make much noise either.

However, there’s much more nostalgia for The Hills and its pop culture-piercing plot twists. The series didn’t last over 100 episodes and return for a revival series without making an impact. Lots of fans will want to travel back in time to check out how it all began.
