In 2004, MTV premiered the reality series Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, which followed a group of Southern California teenagers with interconnected drama. The series was a response to Fox’s hit teen drama The O.C. and became a pop culture phenomenon in its own right.

Laguna Beach helped launched the careers of Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari, who each starred in the spinoff The Hills and built fashion and lifestyle empires. The series also launched the acting career of Stephen Colletti, who later co-starred in One Tree Hill.

While Lauren Conrad recently moved back home to Laguna after living in Los Angeles for years, many of her old high school friends have move all over the country, from New York City to Nashville to Texas. And nearing their 20-year high school reunion, most of them are all parents.

Ahead of the resurgence of the series on Netflix, Conrad sat down with Colletti and Cavallari for the first time on their podcast, Dear Media’s Back to the Beach, for a headline-grabbing reunion. There’s no bad blood between anyone, and some cast members even wish each other happy birthdays and document their reunions on Instagram. It’ll hit you right in the nostalgic feels!
