The Circle season 5 is going to be a season of firsts for the Netflix reality series. Not only is this season rolling out its first season of singles only — a move that is sure to shake up the game — but it’s also become the first season to feature a notable cast member from a reality series outside the Netflix family.

When announcing the cast for season 5 on Dec. 9, fans of CBS’s long-running series might have found themselves doing a doubletake after seeing a very familiar face among the cast.

Not only does this season of The Circle feature an individual who was supposed to appear on the show before being bumped from the cast at the last minute, but it also features a former contestant who nearly made it all the way to the end of the game: Brett Robinson.
