The royal family is constantly talked about daily by people, news outlets, and social media. And with Netflix’s new documentary Harry and Meghan now out in the world, the prince and his wife are definitely a topic of discussion.

The six-episode docuseries is a part of the couple’s overall deal with Netflix to create a variety of content. The production explores their early days as a couple, what led to their departure from royal life, and some friends and family are speaking up for the first time.

The two stepped back from working as senior members of the royal family in 2020, which includes being financially independent. That means no more security, and British taxpayer money would no longer be there for support.

The docuseries is supposed to shed light on the reasons why the duo left the monarchy, and some of those reasons may be due to issues within the institution itself. Could one reason be because of King Charles?

Is Prince Harry Charles’ son?

Yes, Prince Harry is King Charles’ biological son. Charles and the late Princess Diana were married in 1981. The two welcomed Prince William in 1982. Harry, Duke of Sussex, was born in 1984. Over a decade later, in 1996, Charles and Diana divorced, and the beloved princess died in a car crash the following year.

In 2005, Charles married Camilla Parker Bowles, his long-time partner – including during his marriage to Diana. The two don’t have any kids together.

While no official word came from Charles or the palace, it seems the royal is not supportive of his son’s Netflix documentary. According to Us Weekly, a source told the outlet he’s “concerned” the docuseries will cause “irreparable damage” to the monarchy.

The first three episodes of the Harry and Meghan documentary are now streaming. Part 2 premieres Friday, Dec. 15, on Netflix.
