You season 4 is on everyone’s mind right now. Why? Well, when Netflix announced they would be dropping several sneak peeks of the fourth season leading up to its premiere, fans have been waiting for the new content with bated breath. Another thing many fans are wondering about is who they can expect to see in the new season. I’m talking about new and returning cast members. Also, who won’t be back for the fourth installment? We shared all this juicy information below.

Obviously, Penn Badgley returns as Joe Goldberg, the seemingly charming, manipulative serial killer that has gotten away with murder for far too long. We haven’t seen the last of Joe and his murderous tendencies just yet. Also, if you recall, the third season finale ends with Joe searching around Paris for Marienne. This pretty much let us know that Tati Gabrielle would be returning in her role as Marienne for the fourth season. Her casting was later confirmed when photos of her on set of the fourth season were leaked.

Throughout the filmmaking process, we also learned of more and more new actors joining the You season 4 cast. We discovered that Charlotte Ritchie, Lukas Gage, Tilly Keeper, Amy Leigh Hickman, and Ed Speleers had joined Badgley and Gabrielle as regular cast members. Additionally, Niccy Lin, Aidan Cheng, Stephen Hagan, Ben Wiggins, Eve Austin, Ozioma Whenu, and many others joined as recurring cast members.

But we know what you really want to know. You want to know which characters from season 3 won’t appear in You season 4. Who are they? Here’s what we know.

Spoilers ahead from You season 3

Is Love Quinn in You season 4?

Sadly, Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti) will not be in the fourth season. After causing so much trouble for Joe and going around killing people because of her jealousy, Love ultimately meets her end at the hands of Joe in the third season finale. Joe injects her with a lethal dosage of aconite and then sets the house on fire with her in it. Although Love was mentally unstable, I’d argue and say that she was one of the best characters in the thriller series. We’ll miss you, Love!

Is Dottie Quinn in You season 4?

Nope. The last time we see Dottie (Saffron Burrows) in season 3 is when Joe drops her off at a rehab facility. Remember, Dottie was going through a divorce and had spiraled into emotional turmoil after she lost her high-end grocery store and vineyard in the prenup. While intoxicated, she kidnaps Henry and takes him to her vineyard to set it on fire. Love already had an estranged relationship with her mother, but this was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

So, why won’t Dottie be in the fourth season? First, she doesn’t really have a reason to return with Love being dead in all. Let’s say Dottie gets out of rehab and finds out Love is dead. Remember, Joe set up Love’s death as a suicide and then frames her for all the murders. So, Dottie wouldn’t be looking for a murderer since Love is believed to have committed suicide. Also, she already suspected that Love killed her ex-husband, so once she finds out Love murdered more people, she probably would move on with her life and never look back.

Is Theo in You season 4?

Theo (Dylan Arnold) is another character who will not return in You season 4. Fortunately for him, he didn’t end up one of Love’s victims. Remember, Theo makes his way to the basement of Love’s bakery and finds Sherry and Cary trapped in a glass cage. Sherry and Cary tell Theo that Love and Joe are responsible for the multiple murders around Madre Linda and then beg him to find a key to release them from the cage.

As Theo searches for a key, he bumps into Love. He begs Love to let him go and tells her he won’t tell anyone about what he has seen. At first, it looks like Love is going to let him go, but then she hits him over the head with a fire extinguisher, causing him to roll down the basement stairs. Love then leaves him for dead. But he’s not dead. Joe finds Theo critically injured but still alive and takes pity on him. He drugs Theo and then drops him off at the hospital. The last time we see Theo is when he’s being wheeled away in his wheelchair by his dad as they leave his physical therapy session.

After the traumatic experience and almost dying, Theo probably wants to move on with his life. Also, Theo’s relationship with his dad is repaired, Love is dead, and Joe is assumed to be dead, so his story is finished.

Are Sherry and Cary in You season 4?

The quirky couple will not be back for the fourth season. Sherry and Cary (Shalita Grant and Travis Van Winkle) could have also been Love’s victims, but they manage to escape from the glass cage they were trapped in after finding the keys to set them free. Ultimately, they decide to use their horrible experience to make themselves celebrities. As we mentioned earlier, Love is dead, and Joe is believed to be dead, so Sherry and Cary can go on with their lives.

You season 4 part 1 arrives on Netflix on Feb. 9, followed by part 2 being released on March 9.
