The Haunting of Hill House

Pedretti’s first significant role was that of Nell Crain on The Haunting of Hill House. She plays the twin of Luke (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) and never recovered from the hauntings she experienced at Hill House as a child.

The series was created by Mike Flanagan for Netflix and loosely based on a 1959 novel by Shirley Jackson. The story follows two timelines to tell the story of the Crain family and their home Hill House.

Many supernatural happenings at the house never leave the family, which spills over into the children’s adult lives. When another tragedy strikes, the estranged family reunites, bringing back all the memories of Hill House and what they experienced there.

The Haunting of Bly Manor

The Haunting of Bly Manor is the second, and possibly final, chapter in The Haunting anthology series. Another Mike Flanagan production based on an 1898 novella The Turn of the Screw by Henry James.

Pedretti plays Dani Clayton, an au pair hired to look after the niece and nephew of the owner of Bly Estate in England. She flees America to escape a troubled past, but when she starts to see what can only be supernatural things in the manor, she wonders if she made the right choice.

This one isn’t as scary as Hill House, but it is quite the thrilling tale, and it received favorable critical reviews. This series was also nominated for numerous awards, including Pedretti’s MTV Movie and TV Awards Most Frightening Performance.

Pedretti’s most current role is that of Love Quinn on the Netflix original series You. The third season releases on Netflix on Oct. 15, and fans of this series can’t wait to see what is next for Love and Joe (Penn Badgley).

You is a psychological thriller whose main character, Joe, is a stalker and serial killer. He becomes obsessed and violent with the women he falls in love with and does whatever he can to manipulate their lives to fit his needs.

The third season is sure to be another great chapter in the life of Joe Goldberg and Love Quinn.
