Ginny and Georgia season 2 is not coming to Netflix in November 2022

The complete list of new Netflix movies and shows coming in November 2022 has been released, and we’ve looked over it several times to see if Ginny and Georgia season 2 was included. Unfortunately, the teen series was not a part of the list, so we’ll have to wait a while longer for its return.

We’ve been patiently waiting for Netflix to announce the release date since the second season wrapped filming in April 2022. As of Nov. 7, the new episodes have spent almost seven months in post-production. Netflix shows typically spend about six to eight months in post-production before coming out.

On Sept. 1, Ginny and Georgia showrunner Debra J. Fisher posted a TikTok stating that the release could be sometime at the end of 2022. She even provides more information about a potential release date when replying to a fan’s comment. She tells a fan that Ginny and Georgia season 2 could possibly come out “Mid to late December at the earliest.” However, Netflix has not announced an official release date yet.

But we have some exciting news to share regarding the second season’s release date. Read on to find out everything we know!

Ginny and Georgia season 2 updates November 2022

During an investor call on Oct. 18, Netflix Co-CEO Ted Sarandos listed a bunch of different shows scheduled to come out in the last quarter of 2022, which starts on Oct. 1 and ends on Dec. 31. One of the shows he named was Ginny and Georgia. Since October has already passed, and we know for sure that the second season won’t be coming in November, it looks like Ginny and Georgia season 2 could arrive on Netflix sometime in December. If the teen series does return in December, Netflix will most likely announce the release date by the end of November.

However, the show’s release might get pushed into early next year. But we don’t foresee Netflix holding the show any later than early 2023. For now, expect the second season to land on the streamer in December 2022 at the earliest and early 2023 at the latest.
