Is Call Jane on Netflix?

The film Call Jane starring Elizabeth Banks and Sigourney Weaver, has achieved impressive scores on Rotten Tomatoes, and many people are eager to see what the movie’s poignant story has to offer. But can they do so on the streaming service Netflix?

Banks plays a woman named Joy, living as a traditional housewife in the 1960s, who finds out that her pregnancy with her second child is life-threatening. In need of help, she looks to an underground network of a woman risking freedom to help ladies in need get an abortion.

Phyllis Nagy serves as the director of the well-crafted motion picture whose previous credit included the Emmy-nominated TV movie Mrs. Harris and earned a writing credit for the movie Carol. Also starring alongside Banks and Weaver is a solid lineup of talented individuals such as Kate Mara, Chris Messina, Wunmi Mosaku, John Magaro, and Aida Turturro.

The 121-minute feature had its official world premiere at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival, where Roadside Attractions acquired the distribution rights. Call Jane has received favorable reviews on Metacritic, adding to why viewers should check it out.

Is Call Jane available on Netflix?

There is really no denying that there are most assuredly plenty of subscribers out there that would arguably want to see this captivating story unfold from start to finish. But unfortunately, members of the streamer cannot do so because call Jane is not available on Netflix, and it is not known when that status could change.

But several other excellent film choices are ready to stream now for subscribers on the platform. Some of the exceptional options include The Irishman, The Trial of the Chicago 7, and Pieces of a Woman, just to name a few.
