Do you want to go back to your high school years? Do you miss ridiculous slang words like “dunzo” that made its way into the vernacular for a fleeting moment? Do you long for the days of angsty teen pop music from the early 2000s? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you’re in luck. Netflix announced via Twitter that the first two seasons of Laguna Beach and its spinoff The Hills are coming to the streaming service on Nov. 11 and Dec. 15, respectively.

Laguna Beach first aired in 2004 at the peak of MTV’s reality television run. The drama-filled (though highly scripted) show about wealthy, beautiful teens living in the titular seaside California town, was developed largely in response to the popularity of The O.C., the soap opera-esque drama in the same setting.

The show tells the story of a group of high school friends dealing with the typical trials and tribulations of teenage years. On the one hand, they live in paradise and have any resource at their fingertips. On the other, they’re trying to navigate the same romantic relationships, friendships, and next steps that any other high schooler is facing.

When are Laguna Beach and The Hills coming to Netflix?

Many of the cast members from the show have gone on to lead relatively normal lives, but Lauren Conrad starred in The Hills (coming to Netflix on Dec. 15), which picked up where Laguna Beach left off, taking viewers through the lives of a group of friends in LA trying to survive early adulthood.

Though Laguna Beach came first, it only lasted three seasons, outdone by the more popular The Hills, which lasted six. Only the first two seasons of the original are coming to Netflix, but this early foray into the quintessential MTV reality dramas could lead to a deeper partnership and more high-quality, drama-infused, guilty pleasure television on Netflix.

So, if you’re ready for Lauren vs. Kristin sparring over Stephen, set to the melodic notes of Hilary Duff, then make sure to stream these classics coming to Netflix in the next two months.
