For the people who have already watched the complete first season, you’re probably wondering if there will be a second installment. We’ll tell you everything we know about a potential Cabinet of Curiosities season 2 down below.

Cabinet of Curiosities is an anthology series that features eight standalone sinister stories written and helmed by gifted writers and directors personally chosen by del Toro. The horror tales are described as macabre, magical, gothic, grotesque, or classically creepy.

Each episode has an amazingly talented cast, including actors such as Tim Blake Nelson, Elpidia Carrillo, Demetrius Grosse, Sebastian Roché, David Hewlett, F. Will there be a Cabinet of Curiosities season 2?

As of Oct. 28, Netflix has not made an announcement on the show’s fate. However, there’s no cause for concern yet. Since Cabinet of Curiosities just finished its run on Netflix, it’ll likely be a while before the streamer comes to a decision. Netflix has to see how many people tuned in and watched the complete first season over a certain period of time.

The first four weeks of the show’s release are very important. This is when Netflix typically tallies up the viewership numbers. If the viewership numbers are high by Netflix’s standards in the first month, Cabinet of Curiosities will likely be renewed.

However, we must mention that there are also other factors at play in Netflix’s decision-making process, such as production costs. This show looks expensive to make, so the viewership numbers will have to be pretty high for Netflix to see its potential. Also, the show would have to have more stories to tell. But in Cabinet of Curiosities case, I don’t think this will be a problem since it’s an anthology series. Guillermo del Toro and his team could easily write up new horror stories. Overall, it’s imperative that many people watch the first season in its entirety within the first 28 days of its release to help the show’s chances of renewal.
