The highly anticipated horror anthology series Cabinet of Curiosities premieres on Netflix on Oct. 25, and people can’t wait to see two unique horror stories that will surely leave them spooked! Afterward, viewers can expect to see two new episodes released each day until the final two episodes on Oct. 28. It’s truly going to be a wonderful week!

Cabinet of Curiosities is an upcoming Netflix original series created by one of the masters of horror, Guillermo del Toro. It consists of eight sinister tales brought to life by a team of writers and directors personally chosen by del Toro. In fact, two of the stories are original works by del Toro himself.

I’m pretty sure you’ll recognize many of the cast members in each episode. You can expect to see Tim Blake Nelson, Elpidia Carrillo, Demetrius Grosse, Sebastian Roché, David Hewlett, F. Murray Abraham, Glynn Turman, Luke Roberts, Kate Micucci, Martin Starr, Dan Stevens, Ben Barnes, Crispin Glover, Oriana Leman, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Sofia Boutella, and many others.

It’s going to be a busy week with new episodes released each day, but make sure to clear your schedule because I promise you will want to be fully engrossed in this show. To prepare you for this horror series release, we’ll share the parents guide and age rating. Can kids watch this show? Find out below!

Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities parents guide and age rating

The anthology series is rated TV-MA, meaning it’s intended to be watched by mature, adult audiences only. It was given this age rating for substances, strong language, graphic violence, nudity, gore, and smoking. All of the content just mentioned would be deemed inappropriate for younger audiences to watch. Overall, this means the show may not be suitable for ages 17 and under.

Given the show’s subject matter, an age rating of TV-MA seems appropriate. If you just take a look at the trailer, you’ll notice there are a ton of clips shown from the series that would be frightening for kids. There are terrifying creatures, dead people coming to life, blood and bugs coming from a man’s eyes, snakes coming out of a man’s mouth, and a guy’s neck being sliced off. We strongly recommend watching this series when no kids are around.

Get ready because Cabinet of Curiosities episodes “Lot 36” and “Graveyard Rats” lands on Netflix on Oct. 25 at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET!
