Netflix is adding 28 new movies and shows this week (Oct 23, 2022)

Halloween is almost here and Netflix is helping us all celebrate by adding a bunch of new movies and shows to their lineup. This includes an anthology of horror stories, a crime drama, a war film, and a spooky animated adventure movie.

First up is the much-anticipated Guillermo Del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities. It’s coming to Netflix on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022. The anthology series is from the master of horror himself and includes eight episodes filled with scary stories. The episodes include “Lot 36” starring Tim Blake Nelson, “Pickman’s Model” with Ben Barnes and Crispin Glover, and “Dreams in the Witch House” starring Rupert Grint.

The Good Nurse starring Eddie Redmayne and Jessica Chastain is also headed to Netflix this week on Wednesday, Oct. 26. The movie is based on a true story and follows a nurse, Charlie Cullen, who is suspected of killing hundreds of patients. It also follows one of his colleagues, Amy Loughren,  who must reckon with what her colleague and friend has done.

The Good Nurse and Wendall & Wild coming to Netflix this week

An epic war film is also headed to Netflix this week. All Quiet on the Western Front hits the streaming service on Friday, Oct. 28. It’s based on the novel by Erich Maria Remarque and tells the story of a young German soldier and all he has to endure while fighting in World War I. The movie stars Daniel Brühl, Albrecht Schuch, and Sebastian Hülk.

Wendall & Wild is also coming to Netflix on Friday, Oct. 28. The animated adventure film follows two demon brothers who get the help of a 13-year-old girl named Kat Elliot so they can be summoned to the Land of the Living. You know, just a regular Friday for a teenager, right? The film features the voices of Lyric Ross, Keegan-Micheal Key, Jordan Peele, Angela Bassett, James Hong, Sam Zelaya, and Ving Rhames.

This week also brings three new episodes of Unsolved Mysteries on Tuesday, Oct. 25, and season 6 of Big Mouth and The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself on Friday, Oct. 28.
