The School for Good and Evil cast guide: Who’s who in the Netflix movie?

The School for Good and Evil finally drops on Netflix on Oct. 19! It’s a movie about two close friends who find themselves on opposing sides of a battle between good and evil when they’re taken away to an enchanted school for future fairy-tale heroes and villains.

The fantasy film was directed by Paul Feig from a screenplay co-written by Feig and David Magee. It’s also based on the 2013 book of the same name by Soman Chainani. Feig is known as the creator of the comedy series Freaks and Geeks. He’s also known for directing the movies Bridesmaids, The Heat, Spy and Ghostbusters. Additionally, Magee is known for writing the screenplay for the Disney musical Mary Poppins Returns and the upcoming Netflix film adaptation Lady Chatterley’s Lover.

Sophia Anne portrays the role of Sophie, a young girl who dreams of one day escaping from mundane life in Gavaldon. When Sophie was taken away to the School for Good and Evil, she thought she was finally seeing a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. Well, that was until she was dropped into the School for Evil, where fairy-tale villains are trained. While at the enchanted school, she’s considered a Reader and a Never. A Reader is a student with no fairy-tale family connections and is selected to attend the magical school. In addition, a Never is what the students of the School of Evil are called.

Sofia Wylie as Agatha

Sofia plays the role of Agatha. Agatha has been called a witch all of her life because of her family’s background, and most people distance themselves from her. But then she meets Sophie, and the two become thick as thieves. While Sophie wanted to attend the School for Good and Evil, Agatha wished to stay in Gavaldon and live a simple life with her best friend. Unfortunately for Agatha, she’s kidnapped and taken away to the magical school with Sophie. Once Agatha arrives, she’s dropped in the School for Good. She’s considered a Reader and an Ever. An Ever is what they call the students at the School for Good. They believe in living happily ever after.

Lady Lesso tried so hard to be evil, but it just wasn’t enough, so Rafal turned his back on her despite her love for him. Since then, Lady Lesso has been trying to prove herself to Rafal, hoping to win him over.
