Netflix’s new true crime series, The Watcher, is now streaming! The highly-anticipated show is based on the true story of a married couple who, after moving into their dream home, are sent letters by a stalker named “The Watcher.”

The show stars Naomi Watts, Bobby Cannavale, Jennifer Coolidge, Mia Farrow, Margo Martindale, Terry Kinney, Joe Mantello, Richard Kind, Noma Dumezweni, Christopher McDonald, Michael Nouri, Isabel Gravitt, Henry Hunter Hall, and Luke David Blumm.

The Watcher follows the Brannock family as they move into their suburban dream home in New Jersey. Dean (Cannavale) and Nora (Watts) have put all their savings into closing the deal and soon realize the neighborhood is less than welcoming. Their icy welcome quickly turns into a living hell when threatening letters from someone calling themself “The Watcher” start arriving, terrorizing the Brannocks to their breaking point as the neighborhood’s sinister secrets come spilling out.

The story is definitely creepy, especially because it’s based on true events. It’s a great new Netflix show, so how much time do you need to put aside to watch the series?

The show is created by executive producers Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan. Murphy is also the creator of Netflix’s successful recent releaseMonster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.

Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, Bryan Unkeless, Eric Newman, Paris Barclay, Naomi Watts, Ariel Schulman, Henry Joost, and Scoop Wasserstein also take on executive producing duties.
