You know what time it is; it’s the start of the spooky season! So technically it’s the best time to sit down and frighten yourself silly with some excellent thrillers and horror movies. But if you’re not in the mood for a scare-fest or horror is just not your thing but you’re still looking to get in the spirit of Halloween, then we’ve got the perfect recommendations for you!

Have you ever heard of The Addams Family? Of course you have! The iconic movie series is a staple in our childhood that we would rewatch over and over again. And we can’t recommend the 1990s movies, as well as the adaptions, enough.

It must also be noted that it’s in fact the perfect time to binge through the original movies ahead of the Netflix release of Tim Burton’s Wednesday (starring Scream actress Jenna Ortega) on November 23, 2023. Are any of The Addams Family movies on Netflix?

To this date, there are over six different movie adaptations of the famous spooky family. Unfortunately, you can’t watch any of them on Netflix. It appears that Netflix U.S. has a love-hate relationship with the movies, as they have been added and removed from the library several times. Most recently, The Addams Family (1991) and Addams Family Values (1993) were removed in early 2022 from Netflix’s movie list. So where can you watch the movies?

Where to watch The Addams Family movies

  • The Addams Family (1991) – Currently you can watch the classic 1991 movie by streaming on Paramount+.
  • Addams Family Values (1993) – Just like the first movie, you can also catch the sequel on Paramount+.
  • Addams Family Reunion (1998) – Unfortunately, the third movie released in the franchise is currently unavailable on any streaming site. However, the movie is available in full for free on YouTube, though being on the older side, the quality isn’t too great.
  • The Addams Family (2019) – You can watch the animated movie by renting or purchasing it through Amazon Prime Video.
  • The Addams Family 2 (2021) – The sequel to the 2019 animation can be watched by renting or purchasing on Amazon Prime Video, too.
