Dark Desire was released on Netflix in July 2020. It quickly became the most-watched non-English title on Netflix at the time. It was reported that 35 million households viewed the first season in the first 28 days of its release.

It’s a Mexican thriller drama series that centers around a married college professor named Alma Solares. The story begins with Alma visiting her best friend for the weekend to help her through her divorce. But then Alma’s best friend drags her to a nightclub where Alma meets Dario, an attractive law student. After Alma and Dario sleep together, she tries to move on and go back to her everyday life as a wife and mother, but her lapse in judgment causes her life to be turned upside down.

Dark Desire has plenty of drama, mystery, twists, and romance. It’s important to note that this show has many sex scenes, so if that’s something that bothers you, Dark Desire is not the show for you. However, I think the show was very exciting and entertaining.
