Me Time is finally here, which means your weekend is about to be full of laughter, especially since American comedian Kevin Hart stars in the film.

Last year, Hart starred in and produced Fatherhood, a Netflix film that highlighted the highs and lows that come with being a father. The 2021 title was perfect to watch with the family, in that both parents and children can relate to the many trials and tribulations shown. However, we may not be able to say the same about Me Time, as this film depicts parents’ wilder side once they’re away from the kids.

Is Me Time the film to watch with your younger ones? Or do you have to find a different Netflix release to stream? We tell you everything to know right here.

Me Time parental guide

Sorry, parents! It looks like your kids will have to sit this one out because, according to NetflixMe Time has an R or Restricted age rating. This means that kids under 18 years old won’t be able to view this particular title, as it has strong language, depiction of alcohol and drug use, sexual material, and many more scenes that aren’t appropriate for kids.

Feel free to check out the trailer to see some of the R-rated content we’re referring to.

If you weren’t planning on watching Me Time with the kids (or have them away at grandma’s for the weekend), then you’re free to stream the film anytime at your pleasure. But if you are spending some quality time with your youngins this Friday, here are a few titles that work for everyone.

Big Daddy, starring Adam Sandler, is a great recommendation for the family. Just like Hart’s new release, the PG-13 film also navigates parenthood. However, it does so in a way that’s safe for kids and enjoyable for parents.

Additionally, Family Reunion, the smash-hit original series starring Loretta Devine and Tia Mowry, is also a suitable recommendation for all ages. (And don’t forget Fatherhood, too!)

With all these great substitutions, it’ll feel like you aren’t missing a single second of Me Time. Still, once you have time to yourself (or some “me time”), feel free to stream every second of Kevin Hart’s new release streaming right now only on Netflix.
