Netflix movies 2022: The Munsters

Famed horror filmmaker Rob Zombie is returning with a new movie, this time one that’s headed to Netflix! Based on characters and storylines from The Munsters (1964-1966), his horror-comedy of the same name will be released in the U.S. sometime in September after it first comes out on digital, DVD, and Blu-ray.

Rob Zombie’s The Munsters will serve as a prequel to the original show, following the events leading up to the family’s move to America and everything that happens after which we’ve seen in the CBS show.

Zombie’s wife and frequent collaborator Sheri Moon Zombie will portray Lily Munster, with another frequent collaborator, Jeff Daniel Phillips, playing Herman Munster. Other cast members include Daniel Roebuck, Sylvester McCoy, Jorge Garcia, Richard Brake, and Cassandra Peterson.
