Netflix movies 2022: Luckiest Girl Alive

Up next on our list of the best Netflix movies coming in 2022 is a mystery drama starring Mila Kunis called Luckiest Girl Alive.

We’re used to seeing Kunis star in mostly comedy films, so seeing her take on a more serious role will be interesting to watch. However, we’re sure she’ll blow our minds. Her acting chops are up to par for a movie like this.

Luckiest Girl Alive is a film adaptation of the 2015 bestselling novel titled the same name by Jessica Knoll. It follows Ani FaNelli, a woman who seemingly has it all, but her “perfect” life becomes upended when a documentary producer invites her to give a detailed account of a devastating incident that happened in her teenage years.

The cast includes Kunis, Finn Wittrock, Connie Britton, Jennifer Beals, Scoot McNairy, Chiara Aurelia, Thomas Barbusca, Dalmar Abuzeid, Justine Lupe, Carson MacCormac, and Nicole Huff.  Mike Barker directed the mystery drama from a screenplay written by Jessica Knoll.

Filming commenced in June 2021 and ended in September 2021. The mystery drama has been in the post-production phase for a while now, and a release date should be announced soon. We believe there’s a good chance we’ll see this film in fall or winter 2022.
