There’s no doubt you want to watch Locke and Key‘s final season as soon as it drops. Can you watch it with the kids around? What is the Locke and Key season 3 age rating?

Locke and Key season 3 drops on Netflix tonight. While you may not stay up until 3 a.m. ET to watch it, you’ll want to check out all eight episodes as soon as possible. That means you need to know if it’s something to watch with the kids around. Will you need to wait for them to go to bed?

The best way to figure this out is to look at the Locke and Key season 3 age rating. You can also look at previous seasons to decide if the content was fine for the kids.

Locke and Key season 3 age rating

The official age rating for the series is set as TV-14. This is the TV equivalent of a PG-13 movie, which means that it is suitable for teenagers. It makes sense considering the series has been focused on teenagers from the beginning—and it’s nothing like Euphoria!

Other countries have different age ratings, but most of them are similar to the United States. We’re looking at the likes of Germany setting it as a 12, Canada setting it as PG, and the United Kingdom setting it as a 15.

The main reason for the TV-14 age rating is the violence and gore. There are fight scenes, and we’re expecting more of the same in the third and final season. However, there isn’t that much in the way of graphic nudity or language. For the most part, this series involves teenagers being teenagers except for the demons and magic around the keys.

If you haven’t checked out the first two seasons yet, this is a good idea of the Locke and Key age rating, and whether the series is going to be suitable for your kids specifically.

Locke and Key season 3 is coming to Netflix on Wednesday, Aug. 10.
