Rege-Jean Page proves he’s an Eddie Munson fan just like us

There was a lot to love about the fourth season of Netflix’s Stranger Things, but there is no doubt that the season’s biggest breakout performance came from Joseph Quinn’s scene-stealing performance as Eddie Munson.

His performance was one that captured the hearts of audiences, who fell in love with the misunderstood outcast with a heart of gold. His relatable personality was something that allowed us all to see a little bit of ourselves in Stranger Things‘ Eddie Munson,  a sentiment that apparently even rings true for Bridgerton heartthrob Rege-Jean Page.

Not only does Page know what it’s like to become an overnight sensation thanks to a breakout performance in a Netflix show, but he put his Stranger Things fandom on full display at San Diego Comic-Con as he confessed to sharing quite the connection with Eddie.

While promoting his upcoming role in Paramount Pictures’ Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves at San Diego Comic-Con, Rege-Jean Page showed off his Stranger Things fandom when he likened himself to Eddie Munson.

When talking about the allure of the project, Page told those in attendance at the film’s Hall H panel that he “basically grew up as Eddie Munson.” As he elaborated, just like Eddie, he too was a bit of an outcast growing up and was picked on at school for being “weird” and “foreign.”

It also appears both Page and Eddie share a love for guitar and role-playing games, the latter of which was something Page admitted drew him to joining the Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves cast.

“I know a little bit about escapist fantasy and it gives you no limits. It gives you this big open world of possibility that might not necessarily always be open to you in your real life but is there the second you get a group of people together,” Page revealed adding, “I’ve always found role-playing games super inspiring.”

Honestly, just when we thought we couldn’t love Rege-Jean Page any more than we already do, he outs himself as an Eddie Munson stan and proves once again just how relatable he is!
