Netflix’s Resident Evil cast guide: Who’s who in the new horror series?

Netflix’s Resident Evil is a new live-action series based on the popular and iconic horror franchise of the same name. We’ve obviously seen several live-action movies, but on the small screen all of the Resident Evil content has been relegated to animated series.
It’s exciting to get a new story told in this epic universe and in just two days, fans will get to check it out when the eight-episode first season premieres on Netflix. Starring Lance Reddick as Albert Wesker, the show looks pretty promising based on the initial trailers.
While watching the series, you might recognize some familiar faces so the following guide breaks down the main cast members, detailing some fun info about them and previous roles where you might have seen them before.

Lance Reddick as Albert Wesker
Actor and musician Lance Reddick will play Albert Wesker, a significant character within the Resident Evil universe. Born on December 31, 1962, Reddick is 59 and married to Stephanie Day.
Where have you seen him before? His biggest claim to fame is from playing Cedric Daniels in The Wire and Phillip Boyles in Fringe. He is also known for starring in Oz, Lost, Bosch, the John Wick franchise and Godzilla vs. Kong. Gamers might recognize him as Sylens from Horizon Zero Dawn and its sequel or Commander Zavala in Destiny.
What’s next? Reddick will return as Charon in John Wick: Chapter 4. He will also lend his voice to Netflix’s upcoming adult animated comedy series Farzar. Reddick’s other upcoming projects including the Shirley Chisholm biopic Shirley, the White Men Can’t Jump remake and sci-fi thriller Apertos.

Ella Balinska as Jade Wesker
Ella Balinska is a talented 25-year-old English actress who was born on October 4, 1996. Her breakout role came with the 2019 Charlie’s Angels reboot directed by Elizabeth Banks and co-starring Kristen Stewart and Naomi Scott. Balinska plays Jade Wesker, a new character for the series.
Where have you seen her before? Besides Charle’s Angels, Balinska also starred in the horror film Run Sweetheart Run and she is part of the upcoming video game Forspoken, playing main character Frey Holland.
What’s next? Forspoken is set to release in January 2023. After that, she’ll star in Hugo Keijzer’s sci-fi thriller film The Occupant.

Tamara Smart as young Jade Wesker
Tamara Smart is a young, up-and-coming English actress. Born on June 14, 2005, this 17-year-old is already making waves with appearances in shows like the Are You Afraid of the Dark? revival and The Worst Witch. She plays the younger version of Ella Balinska’s character Jade Wesker.
Where have you seen her before? Besides the aforementioned shows, Smart also starred in the Netflix movie A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting and Disney+’s Artemis Fowl.
What’s next? She voices Siobhan in Netflix’s stop-motion animated dark fantasy Wendell & Wild, releasing this fall. The film is Henry Selick’s first feature since Coraline.

Adeline Rudolph as Billie Wesker
Adeline Rudolph will be instantly recognizable to fans of the Archieverse between Netflix and The CW. Born in Hong Kong on February 10, 1995, Adeline is an actress of German and Korean descent. The 27-year-old starred as Agatha on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and plays Jade Wesker’s half-twin and Albert’s other adopted daughter in Resident Evil.
Where have you seen her before? Apart from Sabrina, Rudolph had a recurring role on Riverdale as Minerva Marble. She also lent her voice to the fictional podcast Listening In with Rachel Brosnahan.

Siena Agudong as young Billie Wesker
Seventeen-year-old actress Siena Agudong (born August 19, 2004) plays the younger version of Billie Wesker. Prior to her Resident Evil role, she did several projects on Disney and Nickelodeon, and even starred in Netflix series No Good Nick.
Where have you seen her before? You might recognize her from Star Falls, Alex & Me, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, Sydney to the Max, Raven’s Home or Upside-Down Magic. She also had a brief appearance in F9 as a young Mia Torretto.
What’s next? She’ll next star in the musical feature Allie Mitchell Must Win.

Paola Núñez as Evelyn Marcus
Mexican actress and producer Paola Núñez is no stranger to the horror genre. I first saw her in The Purge series on USA, but she has had a very varied career. In 2020, she played Rita Seceda in Bad Boys for Life opposite Will Smith and Martin The 47-year-old actress was born on April 8, 1978 and she plays the character of Evelyn Marcus, CEO of the Umbrella Corporation, in Resident Evil.
Where have you seen her before? As mentioned, Núñez starred in The Purge season 2 and Bad Boys for Life. She is also known for playing Manuela Cortés Santos in the popular telenovela La Reina del Sur and has made guest appearances on Magnum P.I., Calls and Deputy.
What’s next? Núñez will continue working with Netflix as she is set to appear in Mike Flanagan’s upcoming series The Fall of the House of Usher.

Connor Gosatti as Simon
Connor Gosatti plays Simon in Resident Evil. Simon is one of Jade and Billie’s classmates in New Raccoon City who Jade befriends. Gosatti is 5’10” and 19-years-old. He’s from Western Australia. Resident Evil is one of his first major roles, having mostly done work on short films before being cast in the series.

Turlough Convery as Baxter
Turlough Convery plays Baxter, an Umbrella Corporation employee in 2036. Convery is a 36-year-old actor born on October 17, 1985 (Libra) in Northern Ireland.
Where have you seen him before? Convery has starred in many shows and films over the years, including playing Bear in Killing Eve, Grantaire in the 2018 Les Misérables miniseries, Tom Harry in Poldark and Arthur Parker in Sandition. He also starred in the films Belfast, Ready Player One and Saint Maud. Additionally, Convery appeared in the Black Mirror special, “White Christmas.”
