Resident Evil Netflix series synopsis

The Resident Evil Netflix series will be bringing subscribers a brand new story that takes place across two different timelines. The first season will consist of eight hour-long iterations, and it will be part of the ever-expanding Resident Evil canon.

"In the first timeline, 14-year-old sisters Jade and Billie Wesker are moved to New Raccoon City, a manufactured, corporate town, forced on them right as adolescence is in full swing. But the more time they spend there, the more they come to realize that the town is more than it seems and their father may be concealing dark secrets. Secrets that could destroy the world."

According to Deadline, the narrative for the Resident Evil Netflix series will follow the two daughters of Dr. Albert Wesker, a significant figure in the franchise who is one of the individuals responsible for the zombie creating T-virus. In the storyline, Wesker has superhuman abilities from the infamous pathogen and is one of the game’s most notorious villains.

"Well over a decade into the future: there are less than 15 million people left on Earth and more than six billion monsters — people and animals infected with the T-virus. Jade, now 30, struggles to survive in this New World, while the secrets from her past — about her sister, her father, and herself — continue to haunt her."

The show will follow Jade and Billie Wesker as teenagers before it all goes down alongside another timeline playing out with Jade in her thirties after the zombie outbreak has occurred. It will also look into the nefarious inner workings of the sinister Umbrella Corporation, the main antagonist throughout the franchise’s history, and the state of the world as a result of the T-virus outbreak.

We also know from Dabb’s statement that there will be some old friends showing up as well as some never before seen nightmare-inducing things, making the Resident Evil Netflix series a must-watch affair when it finally arrives.
