Based on the popular 2018 novel by Delia Owens, Where the Crawdads Sing is a new movie starring Daisy Edgar-Jones, Taylor John Smith, Harris Dickinson, Michael Hyatt, Sterling Macer, Jr. and David Strathairn. The film is releasing this weekend.

The story follows a young girl named Kya (Edgar-Jones) growing up in North Carolina between 1952 and 1969. Kya lives a very isolated life and takes refuge in the local marsh, studying the ecosystem and its creatures. Told via alternating timelines, part of the story is a coming-of-age tale while the other is a murder mystery.

Considering the amount of hype behind the novel, this has become one of the most anticipated movies of 2022. Many fans have been waiting for the film for some time now, as it was delayed due to the pandemic.
