Stranger Things season 4 came to an end with the release of the final two episodes on July 1, and let’s just say many fans will be feeling some type of way about the events of the season’s finale. All of our favorites went through the wringer in Stranger Things season 4 volume 2.

Naturally, we were worried about the fates of the whole going into the super-sized season finale. They’re going up against Vecna, after all. But one of the characters we didn’t anticipate we would be so worried about is none other than Robin (Maya Hawke).

Ever since her introduction in Stranger Things season 3, Robin has become an integral member of the group. She’s always one of the logical brains of the operation and Steve’s best friend and sounding board — the voice of reason he so often requires.

Robin came the closest she’s ever come to danger in Stranger Things season 4 volume 2 as the gang entered the Upside Down. Does she survive the season, or is she one of the unlucky few who didn’t make it out alive? Here’s the spoiler-filled answer!

Warning: Spoilers from the Stranger Things season 4 finale ahead!

Does Robin die in Stranger Things season 4 volume 2?

Thankfully, Robin doesn’t fall victim to Vecna or any other monsters in the second part of Stranger Things season 4. She has a close call when she, Steve, and Nancy enter the Creel House in the Upside Down and the creepy vine-like tentacles gripped around their limbs and neck.

Robin’s the first of the three to be pulled up against the wall by the tentacles (an extension of Vecna), but they are released when Eleven summons enough power to free herself from Vecna’s grip and use her powers against his own.

The fearless trio then follow through with their plan to flambé Vecna with their homemade Molotov cocktails with materials from the gun store. That part of the plan, at least, was successful, though it’s suggest Vecna might not have died when he burned.

However, we’re glad to know that Robin made it through the series of close calls their crew encountered while defeating Vecna (for now). She even finally made some progress with her crush on Vickie, who she seems to have hit it off with at the end of episode 9.
