This weekend settle down for a heartwarming watch with Netflix’s new Polish series Queen. Queen on Netflix is an emotional and intimate look at a retired tailor who moonlights as a drag queen. This queer production stars Andrzej Seweryn as Sylwester/Loretta. After 50 years in Paris, Sylwester returns home to Poland for the first time to make amends with his ailing daughter.

With just four episodes in total, Queen is a pretty fast and moving watch. It’s ideal for a quiet night in and since it’s out now, you can check out this weekend! Andrzej Seweryn is a very talented and revered Polish actor and director. He has starred in more than 50 films and in countless theatrical productions. You might recognize him from Netflix crime thriller The Mire, Schindler’s List, The King of Warsaw, The Last Family or The Promised Land.

Maria Peszek is a notable  Polish singer, songwriter and actor. She has had a lengthy acting and singing career. Interestingly, she appeared in The Hexer, which was one of the first adaptations of Andrzej Sapkowski’s Witcher series. She also appeared in the Netflix series Cracow Monsters.

Julia Chętnicka is and up-and-coming talent known for the film Erotica. Piotr Witkowski also stars in Erotica and has appeared in projects like the Polish Netflix film Bartkowiak.

Antoni Porowoski is, of course, best known for starring in the Netflix reality series Queer Eye as the show’s resident wine and food expert. He is a multi-talented television personality, chef, actor, model and author. He’ll next host Netflix’s cooking competition series Easy-Bake Battle.
