A new cooking competition series is on the way at Netflix! Easy-Bake Battle will center on the famous Easy-Bake Ovens many of us grew up with (or desperately wanted) and it will be hosted by Queer Eye‘s Antoni Porowski.

As someone who spends an inordinate amount of time looking at videos of people using Easy-Bake Ovens on YouTube and TikTok, i’m very excited about this show. I tend to love cooking shows in general so combining these two things into a reality concept sounds right up my alley and I’m sure many others would agree.

Netflix has had great success with its cooking and food-based series. The recent hit Is it Cake? just got renewed for another season and there are tons of other popular shows on the streaming service like Sugar Rush and School of Chocolate. Later this month, Netflix will also release the highly-anticipated Iron Chef: Quest for an Iron Legend.

Easy-Bake Battle host

Queer Eye star Antoni Porowski will host the cooking competition show. Those who have watched Queer Eye probably find this fitting as Antoni often lends his culinary talents to the group and is a proud “foodie.”

Netflix VP of nonfiction content Jenn Levy told Variety that Porowski “makes food super accessible.”

Nailed It alum Jacques Torres and Iron Chef‘s Kristen Kish will join Porowski on the show as guest judges. Kish and Torres also assisted in the development of the show.

Easy-Bake Battle synopsis

According to Variety, Easy-Bake Battle will spotlight home chefs who must compete in two different rounds, one is a savory challenge and the other is sweet, using only an Easy-Bake-style oven. The ultimate winner has a chance to win a $100,000 prize, while each battle awards $25,000.

The actual Easy-Bake Ovens are meant for kids to use (with adult supervision) but this show will be a little different. It’s all adult chefs, no children in the kitchen this time around.

Here is the official synopsis from Netflix:

"Life is complicated, but cooking doesn’t have to be! Enter Easy-Bake Battle, a new culinary competition series inspired by Hasbro’s iconic Easy-Bake Oven, featuring skilled and ultra clever home cooks, all with a ton of heart and soul, facing off and using their most ingenious kitchen hacks to prove who can make the easiest, fastest, and most delicious food."

Easy-Bake Battle episode count

The first season will consist of eight, 30-minute episodes.

Easy-Bake Battle release date prediction

No word yet on a release date for this show. The article from Variety also did not mention a specific timeframe, but I feel like the show will be released later this year. Stay tuned to Netflix Life for additional details!
