Who dies in The Umbrella Academy season 3? (Spoilers)

Based on the comic book series of the same name, The Umbrella Academy premiered on Netflix back in 2019 and has been a huge hit for the streamer. The show follows the Hargreeves siblings, super-powered characters who were all born on the same day in 1989 and adopted by a billionaire named Reginald Hargreeves (Colm Feore). Throughout the show, the Umbrellas are able to jump throughout timelines which has proven to be really messy. We’ve seen a lot of heartbreak on the show and a few really upsetting deaths. But sometimes, these deaths can be reversed.

The Umbrella Academy season 3 is no different as multiple characters die and we get a few fake-out deaths, too. Who actually dies this time around? And are these deaths final? The list is pretty long.

Here’s who dies in The Umbrella Academy season 3, in order:

• Older version of Number Five (in another timeline)
• Klaus Hargreeves (but he comes back to life)
• Stan

• Christopher Hargreeves
• Luther Hargreeves (but he’s alive in the new timeline)
• Reginald Hargreeves (but he’s alive in the new timeline)

See, there are so many people who die this time around! And it can be confusing because there are so many different alternate timelines that mean almost anyone who dies could be alive again. At the end of The Umbrella Academy season 3, we find out that Reginald has reset the universe, meaning we’re back to the normal present-day timeline and now, the Umbrellas no longer have their powers. The Sparrows seemingly don’t exist anymore, which is heartbreaking for Luther (Tom Hopper) who wants to go find Sloane (Genesis Rodriguez).

Number Five (Aidan Gallagher), Diego (David Castañeda), Lila (Ritu Arya), Viktor (Elliot Page), Luther, Klaus (Robert Sheehan), Ben (Justin H. Min), Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman), and Reginald are all alive at the end of the season, though we’re not sure what timeline Allison is living in. She’s at home with her daughter Claire (Coco Assad) and her husband Ray (Yusuf Gatewood), who do not belong in the same timelines. This opens up a whole new set of questions that we’ll hopefully get answers to.

The Umbrella Academy season 4 has not been announced yet, but we really hope the show gets renewed soon! The season 3 finale poses new questions and possibilities, and we want to know what’ll happen next for the Hargreeves siblings. We have to wonder whether or not the Sparrow Academy will be back somehow.
