The Wrath of God is a Spanish-Language original movie helmed by Sebastián Schindel from a screenplay co-written by Schindel and Pablo Del Taso. It’s a Buffalo Films production and a movie adaptation of the novel Slow Death Of Luciana B by Guillermo Martínez.

The story follows a young woman named Luciana who finds herself involved in a loop of mysterious and tragic family deaths that keeps piling up by the minute. Convinced that her boss has something to do with the mysterious deaths of her relatives, the woman will stop at nothing to keep her and her sister safe and alive.

Macarena Achaga stars in the leading role as Luciana. You might recognize Macarena from her roles in Amar a muerte, Juliantina, Cumbia Ninja and Gossip Girl: Acapulco. Besides The Wrath of God, you can catch Macarena in another new movie titled Father of the Bride on HBO Max.

Diego Peretti plays Luciana’s boss, Kloster. Diego is best known for his role in the television series Pretenders and his roles in the movies The Reconstruction, On Probation and The Heist of the Century.

The last actor a part of the main cast is Juan Minujín. Juan portrays Esteban Rey, a journalist who helps Luciana figure out who’s murdering her family. If Juan looks familiar to you, it’s probably because you watched him in the films The Two Popes, Focus and Cowboy. Or you could’ve watched him play Miguel in the television series El marginal.
