Are Steve and Robin dating in Stranger Things season 4?

Stranger Things season 4 part 1 is finally out and the hit Netflix sci-fi drama is back bigger and better than ever!

While many things have changed for our beloved characters of Hawkins following the harrowing end events of season 3, the romantic relationships in season 4 are definitely up in the air. But one particular romance that has been under the microscope of late has been that of our favorite “baby-sitter” Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) with quick-witted Robin Buckley.

Many will recall that Robin (Maya Hawke) joined the cast in season 3 and was a crucial part of dismantling the evil Russian plot to open up a gateway to the Upside Down right beneath the mall, and fans once shipped Steve and Robin together.

So, could they be a thing? Is there romance blossoming between the two video store co-workers and friends? Find out whether the pair are more than friends in Stranger Things season 4.

The answer is a straight-up no, no. Steve and Robin are “platonic” friends something she made sure to highlight to Nancy several times during season 4. And while many did wish for the former Scoops Ahoy employees to get together, Robin as far as we know is interested in girls and Steve is the only one who knows this.

This makes the pair incredibly close, but their relationship has strictly no romance. During Stranger Things season 4 part 1, Steve would often go to Robin for advice on girls, and vice versa. Frankly, while we have no concrete critiques about the first volume, we can surely all agree that one of the most unbelievable parts of the season is that Steve Harrington is struggling to find a girlfriend!
