Hustle 2 updates: Will there be a sequel to the Adam Sandler film?

After watching the feel-good sports dramedy Hustle starring Adam Sandler,
Juancho Hernangómez, Ben Foster and Queen Latifah, you might be wondering if Hustle 2 is in the works at Netflix.

Hustle followed Sandler’s character Stanley Sugerman, a basketball scout with aspirations of becoming a coach for his team the Philadelphia 76ers. His opportunity is taken away at the last second as he’s sent out to find a player that can assist the Sixers win the NBA championship.

Will there be a Hustle sequel?

There is no confirmation that Netflix has plans to make a sequel right now, this is all just speculation. The movie works just fine as a one-off. And out of all the movies Sandler has made with Netflix, only Murder Mystery is getting a sequel so far, so make of that what you will.

What could Hustle 2 be about?

Since the movie ends with Stanley becoming the official assistant coach of the Philadelphia 76ers and Bo getting drafted for the Boston Celtics, we could see how the pair navigate their new jobs and lives.

Honestly, I think Hustle ended in a nice place where we don’t need a sequel, but it could be interesting to see where Stanley and his family go from here. It would be nice to see more of his wife, Teresa, as I feel like Queen Latifah didn’t get much to do in the movie. Maybe a sequel could focus on her instead.

Otherwise, maybe Bo could mentor a new up-and-coming basketball star and Stanley could assist.
