Subscribers are most assuredly very eager to see the highly anticipated sports drama film Hustle that arrives on Netflix on June 8, and most rightfully so as the film is getting great reviews, mainly because of the amazing performance of the film’s popular star.

Adam Sandler has put out some solid hits for Netflix in the past with entertaining titles such as Murder Mystery, The Do-Over and Hubie Halloween. The basketball-focused feature Hustle is another fine addition to his lineup of flicks on the streamer that fans will not want to miss!

But Hustle isn’t one of his traditional comedies, although it does have comedic elements, it’s more of a comedy-drama. The prolific actor once again flexes his drama skills in the Netflix feature proving that his impressive turn in Uncut Gems was not a fluke and that Sandler should absolutely be considered a contender in the acting world. Alongside Sandler is a stellar cast of talent, including Queen Latifah, Ben Foster, Juancho Hernangómez and Robert Duvall.

Hustle Synopsis

The movie produced by Sandler and LeBron James follows a basketball scout named Stanley Sugerman, who is looking to revive his career when he finds what he believes to be the next big NBA star. While the player in question has a checkered past, Stanley will go to great lengths, even defying the order of the team he works for, to make a bold move for one last shot at getting his prospect into the pros.

Here is the official synopsis:

"After discovering a once-in-a-lifetime player with a rocky past abroad, a down on his luck basketball scout (Adam Sandler) takes it upon himself to bring the phenom to the States without his team’s approval. Against the odds, they have one final shot to prove they have what it takes to make it in the NBA."

The film has a runtime of 117 minutes and is rated R for language. In addition, Hustle has also garnered generally favorable reviews on Metacritic and a rather excellent score on Rotten Tomatoes adding to the many reasons to check it out!
