Warrior Nun season 2 release date, trailer, synopsis, and more

Warrior Nun is the new action-packed fantasy drama subscribers can’t stop talking about, and after bingeing the exhilarating first season, it’s safe to say the Netflix original is a hit. Now, Netflix has finally given us our first look at Warrior Nun season 2 as part of Geeked Week 2022!

It has been a long time since we received any updates on this series, but thankfully that changed during Geeked Week. Alongside other popular Netflix shows like Manifest, Shadow and Bone and upcoming series like Wednesday and The Midnight Club, Warrior Nun received a teaser and a release timeframe.

Thankfully, a few short months later, Netflix revealed the official trailer and release date for the highly anticipated, long awaited Warrior Nun season 2. Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming new release in November 2022.

On Oct. 13, Netflix finally announced the release date for Warrior Nun season 2 and shared the official for the new season. Fans who have been waiting over two years for season 2 have their first true glimpse at what to expect in the new episodes. Without giving anything away, it looks like it’s going to be an amazing season that’s worth the wait!

Warrior Nun season 2 release date

Along with the release of the trailer, Netflix also unveiled the official release date for Warrior Nun season 2. The series joins a jam-packed fall line-up with its release date set for Thursday, Nov. 10.

In August 2020, Warrior Nun was officially renewed for another season. Several members of the show’s main cast and crew reunited to celebrate and announce the news in a special virtual call that summer. After the announcement, Netflix had kept relatively tight-lipped about when we would get to see the show debut, but now the wait has nearly ended.

It would be blasphemous if the leading players of the first season’s cast didn’t return for round two. Alba Baptista still has a lot of fighting left to do as Ava and fans would be devastated if she doesn’t suit up again as the Warrior Nun.

We can also safely assume that her fellow sisters will be back in the mix for all the actions the next ordeal has to offer. Toya Turner, Thekla Reutan, Lorena Andrea, and Kristina Tonteri-Young all need to return to the fold.

Sylvia De Fanti, Tristen Ulloa, and Thekla Reuten are also hopefully slated to keep their Warrior Nun tenure alive. Everyone should also definitely expect William Miller’s Adriel to paly a bigger role as the outed villain responsible for the entire affair will more than likely fit into the next phase.

Fans should also remember that because of the world the show the Netflix original exists in, anybody could return via resurrection or flashback.

Warrior Nun season 2 synopsis

Netflix has not released the synopsis for Warrior Nun season 2 at this time. Despite not having an official confirmation for what is set to go down, we have a pretty good idea where the new season will take things, based on the season 1 ending.

After Adriel revealed himself as the evildoer behind it all, Ava and her crew will have no problem taking on his army of demons in order to save Shotgun Mary. There are also still lingering questions about what happened to JC and where Michael ended up going.

Ava will also have to deal with the fact The Order of the Cruciform is based on a lie that will obviously require some combat-related solution.
