Virgin River season 4 release date confirmed for July 2022

Great news out of Virgin River! We’re heading back to the coastal town with lots of drama this summer. The Virgin River season 4 release date has been set, and we’re reuniting with Mel and Jack in the hit romantic drama sooner rather than later.

Virgin River season 3 premiered in July 2021 and had some of the highest viewership in the history of the series so far. Based on the success of its third season, Netflix went ahead and renewed Virgin River for seasons 4 and season 5.

When we last left our Virgin River faves in season 3, Mel dropped a pretty huge bombshell on Jack, which will certainly have aftershocks in season 4. Elsewhere, we were left wondering what will happen to Hope and if Brady really shot Jack. So many cliffhangers!

Thankfully, the wait for Virgin River season 4 now has an end date and the countdown to new episodes is officially on. Annette O’Toole helped confirm that the fourth season is indeed on the way to our watch lists this summer. Find out the release date below.

Virgin River season 4 release date

On May 10, What’s on Netflix revealed that Virgin River season 4 would be coming to Netflix on July 20, 2022, which Annette O’Toole (who plays Hope in the series) confirmed the following day. It will be the perfect post-Stranger Things season 4 vol. 2 binge-watch.

O’Toole’s tweet validated our suspicion that Virgin River season 4 would arrive in July, following a new patter set by season 3. Although the first and second seasons were released in December and November respectively, season 3 was the series’ first summer drop.

Given its success in July, Netflix keeping Virgin River as a summer premiere makes sense. Likewise, waiting for the Stranger Things rush to pass makes sense, too. Filming on Virgin River season 5 is set to begin this summer, which puts the next season on par for a release in 2023.
