What is Welcome to Eden on Netflix about?

Welcome to Eden is coming to Netflix on May 6, and this new original series will surely grab your attention once we share what it’s about!

Welcome to Eden, otherwise known as Bienvenidos a Edén, is a Spanish thriller series created by Joaquín Górriz and Guillermo López Sánchez. These two creatives have collaborated in the past on the television series Atrapada. You might know Górriz from his work on the movies Stormy Weather and The Consul of Sodom. Sánchez is best known for his work on Atrapada. Daniel Benmayor and Menna Fité directed all the episodes.

The show’s cast includes some familiar faces as well as some newcomers. Amaia Aberasturi, Amaia Salamanca, Belinda Peregrín, Lola Rodríguez, Sergio Momo, Begoña Vargas, Ana Mena, Berta Vázquez, Tomy Aguilera, Albert Baró, and many others star in the thriller series.

Welcome to Eden synopsis

The thriller series follows a young woman named Zoa and four other young individuals who get invited to an exclusive party on a remote island sponsored by the brand of a new drink. Once they arrive on the island, they begin partying the night away, not knowing what lies ahead for them in the morning. What starts as an awesome opportunity turns into a complete nightmare.

"Are you happy? With this question Zoa and four young, attractive and social media active boys and girls are invited to the most exclusive party in history, set in a secret island and organized by the brand of a new drink. What starts as an exciting adventure will soon turn into the trip of their lives. But paradise is not really what it seems… Welcome to Eden."

It is rated TV-MA, meaning it’s intended to be viewed by mature audiences only. The show may not be suitable for ages 17 and under due to nudity, sexual references, alcohol consumption, kissing scenes, and strong language. So you want to make sure the kids are tucked in and ready for bed before you start binge-watching the show.
