It seems like a lifetime ago that 365 Days dropped on Netflix at the height of the pandemic lockdowns and drove everyone stir-crazy. The steamy Polish movie caused quite the online frenzy as people rushed to discuss the movie, the outlandish plot and its intense sex scenes. Now the sequel, 365 Days: This Day, is finally set to premiere on Netflix and it’ll be interesting to see if it gets as much attention as its predecessor.

Considering the first movie debuted at a very strange time in the world with millions of people stuck inside due to the onslaught of COVID-19, 365 Days quickly shot up to the top of the charts in numerous territories around the world.

People claimed they hated the movie or didn’t like the controversial plot, but they clearly watched it anyway! Considering the sequel trailer has more than 5 million views, it looks like there are still plenty of viewers looking forward to the continuation of the trilogy.

Now the sequel is just days away, premiering this Wednesday, April 27, on Netflix. The film will follow the plot of Blanka Lipińska’s novel of the same name, the second in her 365 Days trilogy of books.

If you watched the first film and are curious about what to expect from the sequel, we’ve got all the details provided for you below.

365 Days: This Day plot synopsis

The end of the first movie made it appear like Laura (Anna-Maria Sieklucka) had been assassinated by a rival mafia family to harm Massimo (Michele Morrone). But the promo and trailer for the sequel doesn’t bother hiding that Laura survives.

She and Massimo got engaged at the end of the first movie and Laura found out she was pregnant, though she hadn’t had the chance to reveal the baby news to her fiancé yet. We also know that Laura was in the car with her close friend Olga (Magdalena Lamparska), so it’ll be interesting to see if she survives or has a part to play in the new movie.

Here is the official synopsis, courtesy of Netflix:

"Laura and Massimo are back and hotter than ever. But the reunited couple’s new beginning is complicated by Massimo’s family ties and a mysterious man who enters Laura’s life to win her heart and trust, at any cost."

365 Days: This Day runtime

It looks like the movie will be just shy of two hours in length at 1 hour and 50 minutes. However, the runtime is not official yet, but it would make sense since that’s about the length of the first movie.

365 Days: This Day starts streaming this Wednesday, April 27, only on Netflix.
